Ron Leek, longtime owner of the Byron Dragway (Rockford) passed away yesterday.

Sad news.
I know the track has been for sale for a while.
We're headed there next weekend for the 'Glory Days' Nostalgia event.

Old Glory was at half mast this past weekend for Glory Days. R.I.P. Mr. Leek. Check out the street sign in the back ground.

And at the Dedication Ceremony Saturday evening the strip was officially named "Ron Leek 1320 Way".
