He has plans to reveal the car at an upcoming show. He has found other original parts for it and is doing what it takes to make the car right. I can't spoil the party.

Nice to see a true enthusiast involved. Not always the case with ZL1s.

The second owner of the car was Sam Gellner out of Cleveland Ohio he passed away 2 years ago His son is still running their engine shop Gellner engineering on Brookpark Road in Cleveland he had some cool pictures and story from when his dad owned the car my friends dad and uncle bought the car from Sam in the early 70`s and was sold in the mid 70`s and still raced and won a track championship in the early 80`s at Norwalk Raceway.

Are good ZL1s worth more than they were pre recession? To an outsider it seemed like good ones were trading for over a million then corrected down to the 500K range during the recession.

Don't remember any hitting seven figures, but it seems like the "Big 3" pony cars, ZL-1's, Boss 429's and Hemi E-Body hardtops have all dropped a ton over the past few years. The Hemi E-Verts are obviously exempt from that drop, to a degree.

As of January #34 was at Hausfeld Classics in Ohio. It is not on their web site so probably sold. New owners may be wisely under the radar.

Boss 429 prices seem as healthy as ever again with the recent publicized $400k and up sales. The biggest threat to prices seems to be the fact that they're all coming out of the woodwork now. Many longtime owners seem to be cutting them loose with every auction seeming to have 1 or 2 or 3.....
