Default This is historic preservation porn...

For anyone who loves spending hours cleaning the original intake manifolds to every stitch on the interior with cotton swabs.
Well here is a fine art conservator I have been watching for a few years - (before coming to my senses and going engineering at Clemson I was an art Major at a Fine Arts school for the first 2 years - I also attended a fine arts high school-from 16-18- drove a HOT ROD 71 RS Camaro)

Much of what he states PERTAINS TO ANY ORIGINAL FINISH you wish to preserve - auto - furniture etc - that stated -
68 GTO HO 4 spd Alpine Blue /Parchment 2 owner car
#21783 71 Corvette LT1 45k miles Orig paint - Brandshatch Green - National Top Flight - last known 71 LT1 built.
71 Corvette LT1 42k miles Original paint - Black - black leather - only black LT1 known to exist.
NUMEROUS Lemans blue Camaros,
Monza Red and Daytona Yellow Corvettes
& a Chevelle or two...
Survivors, restored cars, & other photos

This certainly speaks to your attention to detail James as well as the knowledge that you seem to pull out of thin air.

Thanks for sharing!!!

I have to be honest - when I started to watch that video, I didn’t think that I would be interested, but it turned out to be fascinating! The steps in restoration & the finished painting were amazing!
