Hmmmmm, strange, because the Trim Tag looks legit to me and it shows Z28

Yup, trim tag looked good to me too Bill, but as soon as I saw the interior and the pedal I was like wait a minute...

I was told all 70-71 Z/28's should have this floor mount pedal?

Maybe someone with more knowledge can elaborate on 71's, but I have always known the 70 Z/28 to have the floor mount on any real one I have seen or owned?

The CAMARO Nationals LEGENDS category has had only a couple of 71 Z-28's go through
its judging system. I have never seen or read of a 71 Z28 w/o the Floor Mounted Pedal.

This above EBAY Camaro is 04D, so not close to 72 changeover. It would be interesting to see floorpan from below too SEE if metal has been pierced for floor mount ????

Other than that I cant explain this standard gas pedal 71 Z/28 ????

Yeah, neither can I and I rarely mention it. Car is a 1971 4 speed Van Nuys code 43 Citrus green car. 85K miles, old paint, complete but needs everything. Bought it from a flipper in Pomona in 2002. Has all the Z28 stuff and the engine code on the pad is/was correct but was very faint and is now almost gone. Looks like the gas tank has never been down. I'll try putting some pictures up in Members Rides when I can. Did the NCRS thing and got a blank piece of paper back lol. Anything you want to know about please ask. Has a three piece spoiler as well, was a December 1970 build (I think).

"Front alignment 3.5 caster, .5 camber, 1/16 toe in
1970 was the only year with 12 bolt rear end installed in performance 2nd gens, low-back style seat & headrest, header panel had a Chrome "C" on it, emblem used on trunk was "Camaro by Chevrolet", side marker lights did not blink with the signals..."
