Ran across a guy on YouTube who found a 1970 Z28 CTB shortblock with the VIN 576323. Didn't know if someone had the car it goes with. V0613CTB Date F100.

Cross posted on NastyZ web site.

I don't know or have ever met with the owner, but by the youtube it seems pretty legit. He was not looking to sell it, but is only interested in building an early 70's style SBC so if the money is right he may give it up.

Have a complete 69 Z28 Engine.
Date code is V0822DZ
VIN looks like 19L503140 stamping is faint down by oil filter.
Would love to reunite with original car.
Engine is complete carb to pan.

Any leads to reuniting this engine to its original home appreciated.

So close. I know where 9L503141 & 143 are, but not 140.

Wow Kurt, that's really close. Hopefully 140 is still out there. Have my doubts as this motor is complete minus the exhaust manifolds and smog, but carb, distributor, alternator and deep groove pulleys are all there.. Hopefully the car still exists.

Ran across this today thanks to Luis. M22 out of a supposed LS6 according to the current owner but could be an LS5 as well. I did not find anything about the car in my database or an internet search but in case anyone has any info, the transmission is stamped with 10K141329 so a mid to late December built 454 Chevelle.

Think I read that number wrong. I'll check the build date later.

Just checked that case as my buddy read the numbers off to me in the shop yesterday since I didn't have my glasses on. He said he was having a tough time reading the numbers when he called them off to me?

That's because someone has re-stamped the date code over top of the original date. I can see numbers underneath the date code he read off, but cannot make out the underlying numbers. This is the M22 that was in my 68 Camaro so with that being said, I will just keep this one as a spare trans or as a parts unit.

Sorry for the confusion.
