Default bell housing and intake bolts

HI ALL
It has been so long since my project has been apart, I am not sure what the correct bolts look like for my 1969 L78 Nova (396). Can anyone show me a picture of a correct bolt for the 4 speed bell housing and intake? Thanks

You might want to check back thru the "Parts/Memorabilia For Sale" section here for posts by a member named 'Enoch' who has had a whole lot of different factory correct hardware posted for sale over the past couple years. Keep in mind, though, that bolt head markings may have changed throughout the model year, so there may be more than just one 'correct' bolt type for a particular application.

Thanks. Another quick question, I have two ground straps on my firewall and I don't remember where they are attached to the engine. Any idea? Thanks

I've seen the intake bolts with the small "A" in the center and a flush head, meaning not sunken. These had a shoulder and were a stand alone bolt, no lock or flat washer. This is what I used on my '69 L78. Had most of them but AMK offers the exact bolt so I ordered a few extra. Not sure on the bell but I'm thinking the "M" bolt heads. There certainly could have been a change and possibly a change back, depending on purchasing at that time.

Buy yourself an AIM Assembly Instruction Manual. They are great and will help you immensely with your questions. The parts numbers for the fasteners are listed in the AIM. You can go to AMK's site reconcile the part number with their catalog and find a picture with the fastener specs listed.

I believe they attach to one of the upper valve cover bolts, one for each side, two total.
