Default '70 Corvette, crazy 1970s paint

I definitely don't love this paint scheme, but part of me thinks we ought to be preserving the few such examples that are left to show younger folks the way things were. This paint job is probably older than I am, but I remember seeing wild paint schemes all the time at car shows in the early 1980s...and most of them have been lost to history.

I agree. Leave it the way it is. No one else has it when you go to car shows.

The real reason the wife won't let him keep it is the naked lady mural on the hood scoop! That mural looks like something I would have painted in high school art class.

Too bad it wasn't kept in better shape. Looks like it lived outdoors for a while. Cool picture with the big CB radio antenna on the rear bumper.

There has to be a lot of high end 70's/80's street machines and show cars stowed away. I remember the ones that had a lot of chrome and multicolored lacquer paint jobs.
Some of those had so much money put into them I can't imagine someone would leave them sitting in the elements. Would be cool to see some of those unearthed and resurrected at some of the shows. It's a bit of history.

I was never into this look, but I bought this car about a month ago and I have to say its been a blast getting it road worthy. It was originally done in 74. M

Now I will say that I was never really into the asymmetric look with some of the wild paint jobs. I can appreciate a well thought out set of graphics, even the ones that get a little crazy, but some of them just look like the painter threw a set of stripes here and there for the heck of it.
