Stash gave me a copy of this vintage pic when I last saw him..He was going to sign it,but I asked him not to....How I'll always remember him with the Golden Jet.

After Stan left Hockey, he was the head Golf Pro at Kemper Lakes Golf club in Kildeer, Ill...…..Right after the course opened in the late 70's we were playing there.....and....the group in front of us was Uncle Larr (Larry Lujack WLS Radio personality)………. and behind us was Mikita and his group...…….The Lujack group was really slow and Mikita and his group were constantly hitting their balls into us and yelling at us to hurry up.....even though they knew we were being held up by the Lujack group ………. He was a great Hockey player but at that time in his life he lacked people skills...… RIP Stan !!!!

A friend here in BC played for the Hawks back in the late 60's. He mentioned to me that it was actually Stan Makita that came up with the curved hockey stick blade, not Bobby Hull.

He also mentioned that he believes Bobby Hull is on the Hawks payroll as their ambassador.
