----That picture of Knafel Pontiac was taken in the back lot. You can just see the showroom in the upper left corner. GTOs and Firebirds used to be all across the front line. That's where I saw the 1972 Trans Am I bought. It was Bills wife's driver for a short period of time and I felt that he gave me a great deal at the time. Then in 1973 I bought GMC El Camino from him.....Bill S

It was one of those car washes where you get out and they drive the car through on your behalf. When the car popped out the other end they drove it over to a corner of the lot and the manager and a group of workers were all standing around it. Dad walked over to see what was going on and the manager said "Van - i'm really sorry but those letters washed clean away..." Dad stood there for a minute and looked at it and said "well, good! - now I don't have to take them off." (whew!)
