Yes, we were talking with him at the name tag table and I realized who he was after he put his tag on. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to bow. Wow, he is a well respected Camaro guy.

My father and I were able to attend and had an amazing time, thanks to all who make this show happen and all who brought their cars!

I'm not sure if anyone we met were part of this forum, I never bothered to ask. We talked quite awhile with the AAR & T/A owners (still trying to see if my father's 426 hemi swapped AAR is still around somewhere) as well as the owner of the beautiful red '70 L78 Camaro.

We're contemplating submitting my father's newly finished '72 Heavy Chevy 402 for submission next year. It takes a lot of logistics to get to and from the show and he's still finalizing the finishing touches on the car. We were hoping to see a bit more in the 1971 invitational (surprised we didn't see any '71 SS454 cars!) but hopefully his car could be considered for the 1972 invitational next year.

I was glad to meet the guys I did, including Charley.

I made my own lanyard. Someone posted an image of the name tag on the forum. I just printed a couple off (one for each side of the clear lanyard I had) and wore it all day. It was a great way to introduce myself to other forum members, and a couple other car owners asked me about it. I tried to spread the word as best I could.
