Default '67 440/4-sp Charger, 48k Miles, Great Docs, $20k

Looks like an amazing car for the $20k opening bid. The magazine article included in the auction description suggests the car may have original paint...wow.

A $2000 deposit, with in hours of auction end.
Not me brother. I would need to send someone over, first.

It's one of the 132 440 magnum/4 speed 67 Chargers. Referred to as "L code" Chargers in Mopar circles due to "L" in the vin = 440/375HP engine. The power train is identical to the Coronet R/T Dodge introduced in 67. A833 "Hemi" 4 speed and Dana 60 axle with 3.54 gears and sure grip diff. I keep track of them and have at last count 22-23 of them accounted for. Only a few of them original drivetrain/unmodified. Possibly the best original example left. I know the engine has been pulled and refreshed in the past. The 4 speed with no console is highly odd for Chargers. Same fella had in on CL back in February for $25k and told me he had sold it when I messaged him back in the summer. Then seeing this makes me wonder if the sale fell thru or was just blowing me off. At any rate, a very unique and desirable car to the right person.

----From the side that's a bunch of white vinyl! I don't follow Chrysler stuff as a rule but I'm sure you are correct about the lack of a console being rare. I didn't know you could even delete it or not order it. You guys know what I mean..….Bill S
