This outstanding 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Custom “Yenko 427 Re-Creation” is a true star with its correct show quality restoration and media exposure. This special example was a featured on Power Block TV with Courtney Hanson and on Jake Owen’s music video “Days of Gold”. It was also a Goodguys “Mighty Muscle” award winner. As the VIN number indicates this vehicle was built in Norwood, OH as a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro 2-door Coupe with an 8 cylinder engine. As the trim tag indicates it was a “Special Paint” color and from the information gathered it was originally Rallye Green. It was the product of a meticulous rotisserie restoration which was built as close to an original Yenko Super Car as possible. The build was completed around 2010 and has 385 miles since completion. Since it was finished it’s been stored properly and appears very fresh. Great attention to detail is evident throughout this entire car. If you’re looking for the next best thing to a real 1969 Yenko Camaro you’ve found it. Right here, right now.

The exterior is absolutely gorgeous in every sense of the word. The first generation Camaro design is iconic and will always have a place in the American muscle car history books. The body is laser straight and it has excellent gap lines throughout. It has been outfitted with a cowl induction hood, Endura front bumper, front spoiler and rear spoiler. It was painted in the factory correct (code 79) Rallye Green paint which looks amazing. The paint is high quality and looks wet with its deep clear coat reflection. The Rallye Green is complemented with correct white Yenko/SC decals that were applied to the hood and side of body. All of the glass was replaced new and is crystal clear. The correct Soft Ray stamp was applied to each piece of glass. All of the glass trim fits tight and is brilliant. Everything on the exterior was restored or replaced such as the wipers, antenna, front grille, T3 headlights, driver’s side mirror, door handles, lower moldings, rear bumper, tail light bezels and tail light lenses. The correct Yenko and 427 emblems were also placed accordingly. It has a killer stance on the correct American Racing Torque Thrust 15x7 wheels that have a natural center and polished lip. The wheels are wrapped with the correct Goodyear Wide Tread GT Poly E70-15 tires.

The interior quality is reflective of the exterior. It was completely restored in its black trim which looks beautiful. The new upholstery includes the headliner, sun visors, dash pad, door panels, front seats, rear seats and carpeting. Everything was restored or replaced such as the dome light, rear view mirror, gauges, knobs, steering wheel, door sills, door handles, window rollers, console, seat belts and pedals. It’s equipped with many correct features such as the 3-spoke steering wheel, dash and console wood trim, 140MPH speedometer, 7000RPM tachometer, tic toc console gauges, Hurst shifter and SYC embossed headrests. A new set of custom carpeted floor mats with the Yenko badge were added. Everything in the interior is in working order such as the dome light, gauges, clock, stereo and heating system. The trunk compartment was correctly restored to a high level including the trunk splatter paint and various stickers. It’s equipped with a factory style trunk mat, matching full size spare tire and jack tools.

The engine compartment is highly detailed throughout with many correct parts. The firewall, inner fenders and radiator support was painted black which looks very sharp. The factory “BPT” orange letters were added to the firewall. The car is powered by a correct date coded 427 V8 that is estimated with 425HP. It was completely rebuilt and runs great. The engine casting number is #3868512 which is a 4-bolt main 427. The engine is outfitted with the correct 840 steel square port heads and aluminum “snowflake” intake with casting #3938163 and chrome valve covers with Yenko stickers. It’s equipped with the correct Holley carburetor, GM cowl induction air cleaner and smog system. The engine is cooled by the correct Harrison 4-core curve neck radiator. Other details include a CZ stamped alternator, GM stamped hoses, correct style clamps, gold power brake booster and Delco Energizer battery topper. The engine breathes through factory manifolds and correct style Gardner dual exhaust system. This is a top notch reproduction exhaust system that sounds awesome connected to the 427 V8 power house. The engine is coupled to a correct date coded Muncie M21 4-speed manual transmission. It was completely rebuilt and shifts smooth through all the gears. The power is transferred to the pavement through the correct date coded Gm 12-bolt POSI rear end with 4:10 gears.

The undercarriage is also highly detailed throughout with many correct parts. This undercarriage is so nice it should be displayed with mirrors underneath at a car show. The floors were painted black which look super clean. Everything was restored or replaced such as the steering components, fuel system, suspension system and braking system. It’s equipped with power brakes with front discs.
