Default Interesting Low Mile Day 2 '68 427 Corvette

Nice docs but this one has been fitted with a warranty block and some other Day 2 stuff that makes it pretty obvious the original engine suffered a violent demise. Looks like it was sold new in SD but spent much of its life in Los Angeles. Also looks like it spent a lot of time in a relatively damp environment, unfortunately.

Seems very odd that they installed a 2X4 intake, headers and a mag, but left the smog on it. Must have been trying to stay legal in CA.

----I really don't understand the huge patches on the frame in the rear wheel wells. That's not a common area for rust at all and not a weak area either. Very strange!...….Bill S

That's support for a roll bar which has since been cut out. You can see part of the cut off tubes in one of the pics.
