Default 9204 Booster cleaning

Picked up a 9204 Booster and M/C out of a 70 Nova. What is the best way to clean off paint and surface rust.? Glass Bead.? Not going to restore it, just want to clean it up and see what I have, before I get rid of it. Thx

I used citrus paint stripper to get the Paine off mine. Once you get that off, a dunk in evaporust should take the rust off. One caution with evaporust, if you leave plated parts in too long it will remove the plating - I learned the hard way on that one.

If it’s spray bomb paint sometimes just wax and grease remover will take it off. From that point I move up the ladder with removal stuff. Not sure if goof off would harm finish below paint but that is next step.
