Default What was the last day of production for 67 Camaro?

I thought it was July 21... found out thru NCRS my 67 Z was built July 19..thought for sure it would have been built on the last day since it is has the only 07C cowl tag 67 Z known..(atleast a few years ago)..and it is about 200 VIN's from the last VIN.... still do not understand that whole cowl tag/VIN tag query Fisher/Chevy system???

Max, there's a Canadian Z that was built after yours and the production date was given as July 19, 1967. I do believe that to be the last day of Norwood production. Where was your Z sold new?

The bodynumber was assigned when Chevrolet got the order for the car. You can find cars made the same week with bodynumbers spread wide. VIN was assigned when it was on the assembly line.

Hey Jon... just got back in the states and had time to check the NCRS...the car was delivered to Brennan Chevrolet, in Brockton, MA

Its interesting how many 'last minute' Z's were produced. There are apparently a handful of 7B cars, correct?.. you'd probably know better. I assume the cars were ordered by the dealers before being made?? I would think the racers would have waited for the new model year cars...?? Or maybe they were made because of a few extra 302's sitting around?

Anyone have any info. on this dealer?? Apparently they are out of business. How about anyone from that area rememebr a white 67 Z w/cowl plenum in that area..???

The search begins !!! Thanks SYC and Roy !!!

Hi Max, My business is across the street from the dealer it changed names in late 69 to Scher Chevy which they sold a lot of performance & Yenko cars. They sold it to DeSantis Chevy in 1981 & they just sold it last month to Copeland. I have a Yenko deuce sold from Scher Chevy. My friends remember a lot of 68 Z/28 around but no 67 Z/28. I have two 67 Z/28 one was sold out of Dalton Georgia The other I'm waiting for the report should have it any day now. There was a guy out by Springfield, Mass I sold a 68 cowl plenum air cleaner to about 15 years ago that had a white 67 Z/28

Great info. Thanks for letting me know, Max.

You're right about them making a bunch of Zs at the end of the year and I've noticed that with the L78s also.

By the way, this L78 is another car with an 07C cowl tag... http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.p...ic=12349.0;all

Bob, does Steve Saltzman sound like the name of the guy with the white Z 15 years ago?

Neat that your Tahoe car came from Scuncio. I hear those dealership docs still exist. What day was the car built according to NCRS?
