Motion cars rear end cover
Hi, just bought a vintage finned rear end cover for my Chevelle. I would like to know if there was a sticker on the cover on motion cars. If yes, was it was. Saw some with E-T decal on them, but mostly they dont have one.
Also, for motion cars that had torque thrusts, do they had MP decals on the center caps or the standart american racing ones? Ive seen both. Thanks for your help Yann

I referenced Martyn Schorr's Motion book and as far as the center cap question. It seems to be random. Some cars with Torque-Thrusts had MP center caps and some didn't.

Rare did I ever see motion emblems on wheels or rear end covers...they may have been on some cars but it is not something I remember the cars having. "Some" of todays Motion owners tend to "fluff" up their cars with Motion gingerbread...throw on every Motion decal, knickknack and speed parts that never came on the car to begin with I know at least 2 Motion cars sold with stock OEM SS hoods but restored with Stinger hoods...I bet there is plenty more. More gingerbread= more dollars (supposedly) at selling time Last edited by whitetop; 12-15-2017 at 04:56 PM. |
