Default Looking for Atlanta built LS6 car vin# 136370A129766

Looking for Atlanta built LS6 car vin# 136370A129766 I know where your engine is. There was old post on Chevelle tech website a guy was looking for his old car with that vin#. He described the car as a green LS6 coupe out of Dayton Ohio area in late 1970s. I already checked the LS6 registry no luck.

I kinda knew where the motor was but the car was nowhere to be found. I bought the car off of a friend just to get the motor for my 69 Camaro race car. This was in the middle seventy's. The car didn't have hardly any miles on it because it was a garage car. I pulled the LS6 out and put a small block in it and sold the car to the first guy that came along..I had that motor in a half dozen race cars over the years until I sold a 67 Camaro that the motor was in to a guy in Iowa.

As a side note, Tommy Johnson Sr. (Father of Funny Car racer TJ jr,) raced the Camaro for a long time and he told me he sold it in the move to the Carolina's. He said he sold it back to the guy I sold it to originally. I alway's had an eye out for the Chevelle but did not find it.

The motor for that LS6 is in Iowa. It was in a dragster until the guy realized what the motor was. I told the guy I would try to find the car. It has a crazy stamp pad that a machine shop stamped there logo on it but the original broach marks are nice and characters are not altered

I want to thank Matt Lamer for putting me in touch with the guy that had my LS6. My son and I made the road trip from Ohio to Iowa last week and picked it up. Going to reunite it with the Camaro I put it in some 40 years ago..
