We do vidoes to appeal to the masses and the majority of people want music that relates to the vehicles when watching. I don't remenber seeing a 68 Cutlas, 74 Nova or any Fords at this event... Your opinion has been noted.

Personally, "Frankenstein" was about perfect for the trailer. I hear what Ed is saying, and if you could have some passes with tires squealing, headers blaring, and gears jamming, that should be something that we would all appreciate.

Call me old school, or old fashioned, or maybe just old, but I enjoyed the mix of car sounds with classic music. Both on their video and Xplants.

Tom,
You're not 'Old School',.......... you're just old! And Thank God, so am I!!!!

But the plus side to that is; WE LIVED THROUGH THE ABSOLUTE BEST TIME POSSIBLE (for a car nut!), and the music was a BIG part of that era. I wouldn't trade it for anything!!!

And for what it's worth, I agree; BOTH the videos rock!

Thanks guys. I always make sure on our final DVDs that the car sounds are in the surround sound and the music is background to the cars.
I'm working hard on the final video to get it done asap for you all.

Thank you for noting my opinion. You want my advice? I'm sure you do. Why not make 2 versions of the DVD and let your customers choose which one they would enjoy more? One with all the annoying music from beginning to end covering up all the real sounds.. and one without.. Instead of appealing to the "masses" and selling a few.. why not appeal to "everyone" and sell them all? I'd be happy to buy a DVD without the tiring old music ruining it for me. Because I'll be honest.. Every single song you have picked out to be in the "background" .. I and most everyone else have heard that song a thousand times if we heard it once.. and like I said, it just makes your DVD the same as everything else out there. Be the one to break the mold huh? Your videos look high quality and professional. I'm sure it would be no big task to make one without the music along side one that has it for those who want that. I seriously doubt I'm the only person on this site who would rather hear the cars and the atmosphere from the show rather than a classic rock music dvd.. Hell if anything, sell me a dvd of your raw footage.. I'll take that anyday. If my only choice is the dvd full of music, I guess I'll pass.

I agree about Xplants.. his was great.. But the difference is Bruces was a slideshow of pics. Not much you can do but set that to a music background.. But when it's good video with good sound that captures the atmosphere and the cars of something like the supercar reunion.. sorry, leave the music out. It really just takes away from it. imo

We are open to suggestion, it takes about 60hours of work to edit 60 minutes of video. How much is it worth to you? Our hourly rate is $35 per hour.

Why not "dim" the music at select points to let the "real music" that the cars make reach our ears? Best of both worlds.

Check out what this amatuer did !
