Awesome pics! You see the first thing Yenko did to the interior was change out the skinny standard steering wheel with a "fat" 3 spoke Cushion Grip wheel? A Yenko signature upgrade...same one offered as an option on the Deuces.

[ QUOTE ]
In 1971 a client desired L88 Corvette, since they were no longer available new, he requested that Yenko build him one. The 1969 Corvette in the picture was selected from the used car lot, it was a blue with blue interior, 350/350. When completed it had a built L88, the best of everything in the driveline, competition fender flairs, the widest wheel and tires that would fit. It was refinished in black with silver striping, the interior was redone in a off white vinyl and was very handsom. The repair orders totaled in excess of $17,000.00 not including the car. The client took delivery of the Corvette on a Tuesday evening and traded it back in on Thursday. The mechanic pictured with Don is Chuck Morano. I had the opportunity to drive this Corvette on several occasions.

BKH- Received Limited Edition Fathom Green/Black Strpe 1969 Yenko Comaro model from Supercar Collectiables by UPS today.
Bought it because I remembered the actual car.

JD502 - I do not remember any specific 66 - 67 Chevelles. I was not there at that time.

The above Corvette was in inventory for close to two years and was sold to a customer from another state.

The client who commissioned the Corvette, replaced it with a full size van with a built 350.

Is your first name Bill? Did you work there in the mid 60's leave and then come back there to work? I spoke with the a nice gentleman named bill a few months back, I believe is talking about the same person. When speaking with this person he had told me he worked there until early 67 or 68 then left for a year or two and came back. Anyway he told me he had a 66 or 67 YENKO ("converted")chevelle conv. that Don Yenko drove himself with a L_88 in it. I asked about this before and seemed this had been mentioned before. Just curious about that car I always liked them thanks for the info.
