That's the correct car. Was built from the factory as a red car but was repainted black with stripes going over the roof. Car was heavily damaged in the rh rear quarter and got parked for years. I was interested in buying it way back when but the damage scared me off. I'd like to see the trunk decal.

I dont think David Ellis owned the car mentioned in the first post. Hes in Alabama. I have met him and he is a great guy.
[email protected] is the email I have for him.

I thought this red z/28 was found and owned by a guy in Texas, unless he sold it.

Found a better old picture of the same car...C-Pillar reads "The Hugger".
Cool info Jon, was the Cowl Plenum w/ it when you saw it pre resto?

David Ellis from Alabama did own the car at one time.

Here's a vintage engine shot which I'm pretty sure is of this car but I did a poor job of labeling the photo when I saved it originally. All the other pics I have of this car are on my old computer and not easily accessible.
