Default 68 only deluxe wheel

We have discussed these steering wheels before, and I think, figured out that there are two types of SS insignia on the shroud....depending on build date. However, what about the way they were painted. Check out this ebay listing, and tell me if the wheel should be all blue or if it should be blue with black highlights as it appears. I have two of these shrouds here at home (both of which are completely unmolested originals), and both are all blue. But, I have seen them both ways. Anyone have any brochures that show them in detail or any way to prove how they came?

Question #2, can anyone identify this insignia that is on the center of this wheel? Is it Canadian? The other one I have is from an Impala and says "Impala". Sorry for the crappy resolution, but you get the idea!

As for question #2, that's a "fleur-de-lis" emblem, and it was used in the '68 Caprice, both in the US and in Canada. Nothing particularly special or rare about it. For everything you ever wanted to know about the fleur-de-lis, and then some... click here.

That definately fell into the "and then some" category! Thanks for the info, wasn't really sure what it came off of. Got the wheel at a local swap meet for $5 a couple years ago.....can't beat that! That is the wheel I talked about my fixing in a past thread.
