Default 1970 Chevelle LS6 convertible - 10K miles - Mecum

Stunning, with only 10,222 original miles. I still have photos of this Chevelle back in the mid-1980's at a local car show when it had a scant 9,000 original miles! Incredible that it's only racked up a thousand miles in the past 35 years.

One of the few times in my life I wished I was wealthy. It would be in my garage for the rest of my life.

I spent many a day dreaming about this car back in 1988 when it showed up in Super Chevy. I'm not a big convertible fan now so I'd rather have Fuller's red LS6 hardtop these days. Anyone know the red cars whereabouts?

I see these quotes all the time. I don't have a crystal ball. Depending upon your time horizon, you may be right. Maybe I should invest in silver. I don't know the future. But I do know history.

People started pushing gold and silver in the 80s.

Let's say I invested $477 in gold in Dec. 1982 (just happens to be the spot price that month). I held it all these years, and now it is worth a tick under $1900 (current spot).

Silver is virtually the same (different numbers, same ratio). Worth about 4 times as in 1982.

Had I invested $477 into a dow index fund, with all the dividends reinvested over the years, I would have approximately 960 times my initial investment, or over $45,000.

The market is hard to stomach sometimes. Sucks when it is down. But it is up about 70% of the time.

When the "market riggers" lose control of the price of silver, we could see silver go past $100 per ounce
