'66 Impala Super Sport 427 "Brass Hat"
To me, a Brass Hat car implies it was a Zone order or some sort of company vehicle. I can't quite make out the city and state of the selling dealer, but man, if you're asking a premium price based on the 'GM Exec Ordered' claim, I'd want to see more of an effort putting the story together for the auction.
Pretty sharp color combo with the turquoise interior, nonetheless. Wish it were a 4-speed! Link to 1966 Impala 427 auction 168676S222279 |

Nice overall looking car. Some not correct '66 things going on. Description is not so great. Seems to be missing kick panel speakers for the multiplex. If it was ordered with the multiplex it should've been in the console. This was probably added (maybe dealer??). Less than 100? There were 15,783 SS convertibles made in '66 with 60 being exported. With the L36 it looks to be 309 units. Maybe he's talking about "brass hat", but as Scuncio said more research needs to be done to verify all that. I can't bloww up the "pedigree" document he has in a picture.
