Default 1976 Corvette upholstery

Seeking some technical help from our Corvette crowd. My friend has a 1976 Corvette that has a Firethorn Red interior. Before he owned it -- someone in the past replaced the seats (black) pulled from a 1975 model. He wants to install new upholstery but the problem is the 75' models did not have the Firethorn Red interior. The question is -- will 76' upholstery fit the 75' seats? If not -- does anyone know where there are a pair of 76' seats that can be reupholstered?

Thanks -- TAZ

Also Al Knoch corvette interiors in Texas. He is a huge manufacturer and supplier for the corvette community. I purchased a full interior kit from them for my 1969 corvette coupe. They also recovered my seats at Fall Carlisle a few years back. They set up at Carlisle and with an appointment will recover your seats. Replace conv tops etc. they’ve been around forever. Rob

IIRC my 69 vette had a TRUE comfort weave, are the newer reproduction covers pressed or actually woven?

The upholstery will fit. It is wise to replace the seat foam as well.
