Replacement for 1969 Starter Solenoid
Is there a aftermarket starter solenoid that "looks' very close
to Delco Originals...... I'm in process of restoring a 9 K 22 Delco Starter and need a NEW appearing Solenoid !!!!!!!!!!!

Depends on what "looks" means. None that I know of that have the Delco Remy solenoid marks

I have had limited success grafting a Old DELCO cap to a replacement Coil body. It gets a little tricky given different mounting molded back sides and contact matching, but I can be done to gain a fresh wound core with a original looking nose.

D969 solenoid 1114356 was the Delco Remy/GM replacement number, but I'm all out of them. 12bolt_tom on ebay bought the last of the Studebaker International inventory that fit Chevrolet engines used in 65 and 66 Studebakers they had in their inventory at the South Bend location. I know for a fact they had some open box/out of the box nos solenoids, because I bought all of the still unopened ones they had. You might try contacting 12bolt_tom.

Were assembly line solenoids black or zinc plated? Seems like I've seen both.
