Default 1965 327c.i. need suffix coding??? and >>

Good morning gentlemen. I need a de-ciphering of my 1965 327 suffix code if you will.
block number = 3782870 dated B4 5 with suffix code 9X 3157 .
Not sure what the suffix code stands for??
What stock carb and intake came with this engine?
What stock cam came with this engine?
What stock points number distributor is correct for the engine?
What stock heads are correct?
Anything else re crank / rods / pistons # etc etc.

Thanks in advance gentlemen!! Yep a whole lotta questions eh boys. Could this'un be
an L79 block from 1965..

Is your car a Canadian built '65 Chevelle also do you think this engine is the original?
Do you have any original paperwork or if a Canadian car, the GM Canada as built info?
I have a few Numerical Suffix listings but nothing 9X...is this stamped on the protruding frt. pass deck surface also are there more #'s there too?
1965 Canadian 327 Numerical Suffixes are usually #'s 25 or 85 but unlike US engines, the same Suffixes were used for multi applications w/ different heads/intakes/carbs added so original HP not conclusive for loose engines.

Good morning Pete!!
Just trying to get my act together on a couple of engines that are very interesting i.e.
I have I believe the intake 3866922 date A9 5 + the 4GC w/tag # 7025121.
Block # is 3782870 dated B4 5. Suffix code = 9X3157.
I have a set of 3795896 heads that could go with this engine. I did not mark down the dates on my listings though. Could these 896 heads belong on this 2870 block?
As far as being Canadian, yeah, this sounds right. I do not have the car, Peter, - just
the engine and various parts. What crank shoulda been with this l'il beastie?

I have a 70 CE 396/402 9854 2 bolt block ex a Chevelle by the vintage scrawled vin.

I have also a 1955 265 block dated L20 4 with heads and crank I need help with to figure out where this came from. Has to be Canadian also. Coulda been used in a Modified Production effort down here in Western Quebec. i.e. Napierville or Cedars drag strips.

I appreciate your help Pete. Got a load of questions, and it seems most of the people who would have known are no longer with us or have moved out .

Ted
