Joe, I bit the bullet and ordered an NOS Relay from HBC only to find their web site hadn't been updated and they don't have the part. Still looking!

The relay fails when the internal rubber piston deteriorates into dust.

The last RS system I worked on a few years ago had an NOS relay installed in the '80s. After hours of chasing the problem to no avail, the relay was replaced on spec with the identical licensed repro. Problem solved.

Cut open the still-new appearing relay, full of rubber crumbs.
