Those tool kits are pricey! I saw one for sale that wasn't complete. They wanted $1,200.00!

I don't suppose we're going to see a driveway burnout video from this bug ;-]

I like these too, but "fortunately" I don't have room for one. Cool bug!

If some of you are pining for interesting car discussions, check out the restorations of Beatles and other models on the Samba: https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewforum.php?f=35

There was a super cool thread about a very early Beatle found in another European country that verified as one of the first ones ever made (ie. the ones that were in all the promotions).

It isn't always about the HP. Don't get me wrong, I still have an issue with pathetic "muscle cars", but I can really appreciate cars built for a particular purpose that don't "pretend" to be muscle cars. I enjoy the heck out of my 65 HP Opel GT 1.1.

Default Dad's Oval Window

My Dad cleaning the windshield with my Uncle. Just a couple of Dutch-Austrian boys back when dapper mattered. Probably a Nederland sticker on the rear fender. They had it shipped over from Europe. Before my time, but thanks for inspiring me to search for this old photo. Years later, Dad bought a new '70 Astro Blue/Antique White topped Chevelle and my Uncle one-upped him with a sweet Mulsanne Blue '71 Monte Carlo with Corvette Rallys (and people wonder how I got this way). Both gone a long time but never far. Bleib Gesund.

What a timeless photo. Full on suits. Amazing to see it. “When dapper mattered”. Best saying in a long time. Thanks for sharing!

Cheers
Dave

Cool pic! You didn't mention the year, but probably a '54 or '55 judging by the oval window and lack of fender signals. The gentleman in the foreground is blocking the semaphore signal arm in the post.
