Default ring end gap

Im building my 502,and using mahle pistons and file fit rings they say top ring bore x .0045 is that forty five thousenths that seems like a big gap thanks in advance kris

.0045 would be 4 and 1/2 thousandths.
.045 would be 45 thousandths.
for example 4.125" bore x .0045 = 0.0185625" or ~18 thousandths.
