Besides the NMW tow tabs were there any other tabs used on 67's? Trying to convince my wife that these $200 tabs are worth it BUT may need a more cost effective alternative.

Good to hear JP! I appreciate a stock car and all that it takes to get it correct, but Day 2 allows you some creative freedom to experiment with the look and putting together a complete package that looks just right! BTW, guys like Sammy Scardino, Grady Burch, and other savvy dudes 'round here are my go-to guys for all things D2!

Was messing around on here looking at tow tabs and saw some pictures of homemade style tabs. I mocked these up with just cardboard but really like the look and seem really easy to make and I would mount it to one of the bumper bracket bolts. Just need to get some 1/4 steel to make them

I built these almost 50 years ago to match a tow bar that I had.

Those look great! I feel like my thoughts and ideas are in the right frame of mind in making these.

Made some great progress on the tabs. Never worked with steel before. Started out as 6"x^ stamped 1/4" steel cute the corners and shaped on a grinder then drilled out. Got 2 coats of primer on them right now. Next to paint them red.

Finished and installed my home made tow tabs last night. I am extremely happy with the way they turned out! Not bad for a first timer!

Was a very busy night in the garage last night also finished the restoration on my M/T valve covers. Cant wait to put these on! These where sanded down and repainted then I sanded off the paint on the fins and lettering.
