Yep, I would agree thats a Baltimore Chevelle stamping and definately not a Camaro VIN. Maybe the trans was replaced at one time with this one.

Default Vin stamp

If it is a Chevelle vin, is it missing a digit? Or am I missing something?

Thanks,
Marty

Yenko's and COPO's went through Muncie transmissions on a regular basis, especially when raced. Pic looks like X66 trim.

Wouldn't that be X44 trim?

If those are original 1/4 panel gills/spears then not X44.

So it wouldn't be X66 either? Probably X11? If I understand it right, X66 is SS 396 without chrome trim, and this would have been a COPO car, which would have been X11 or X44, but in this case probably X11?
