Yes..both were the same formula, recognized by either GM production code 927-99480 or Lucite #5032L or Fisher code 3927 or Rinshed-Mason #A2108 or Ditzler #2059 back then.
1971's code 13 Nevada Silver & 1972's code 14 Pewter Silver were also a different recipe frpm eachother & the above 2 as well.

Just asking for code 69 doesn't guarantee a match. Back in '98 we had or 396 car done back to code 69 Cortez Silver. Many years later we had an el Camino done in the same code 69 Cortez Silver. They were different. Different paint, different supplier, different shop and the colours were different. I too would be interested in which paint is the closest to the original colour.

I have a 69 Camaro, going to paint soon also. It's going back to Cortez Silver so I too am interested in anything you find out. Car was black and in primer now so don't have anything to compare it to so I am at the mercy of the paint store.

Dave, if you like the color on Bill Edel's CS deuce, we might be able to help you. He may have the can with the formula on the back of the label. Not sure if we sent it with him or not.

Good idea, I will get in touch with Bill. I hate it when a car is just a shade off and you don't realize it until you are up next to another car that is the correct shade.

I gave Bill E. the can of CS touch up at the Chapman show in March. Did not notice if the formula was on the can tho.
