Default 70 Camaro NOS door skin

I need a drivers side GM door skin for my 70 Z project. The project came with a clean set of doors which I have had 2k'd. I really want to keep the orig door shells (I know, I'm nuts!) I have the passenger side, hopefully someone has a drivers side up in the rafters somewhere!

I think the one on ebay is for the smaller door handle. I think you need 9804217.
ThanX

Yes, this is correct. The 9804217 is rather difficult to find. It is of course possible to get the later skin and graft in the earlier door handle area. A bit of work but not out of the question.

Ok, now I'm confused. The passenger side that I purchased is 20160963. I have my original big door handle bolted up to it. Fits and moves freely. Am I missing something? I thought the big handles would still bolt up?

The big handles will bolt up, but I have been told that the impression in the door is sized wider on the correct skin. That the ends of the longer early handles hit the door due to the smaller impression of the later door skin.

I have a set of original doors and a replacement skin at home and I will check tonight. I'm not exactly sure what the part number is of the skin, but I think it is the 9804217 skin.

Buddy,

I compared 20160963 to my 74 doors and the impression is the same... approximately 5.75 inches.

Thanks Rick. Thanks Dave. Using crude measurements of my original doors, the openings seem the same.
