Barry, I know you posted with requests for one before. Do you know what Nova feet look like compared to Camaro?

I really like these bars too. What type of project are you working on? Nickey Chicago offers a similar bar, but you probably already know that.

Nickey Chicago is an exact replica of the Lakewood because the measurements were taken from one of my bars I have.

The Nickey bar is nice. That was cool of you Mark to let them measure your bar. Might be slightly different than originals, as it doesn't appear to have the interchangeable feet. Nice bar none-the-less and even a good place to start to make a Nova bar.

Paul one of my bars has removable feet and the other has solid feet just for a camaro. We used the solid footed one to do the job. As for not making them maybe it was a copyright infringement. I still have the schematics at home so if anyone wants to have a local chassis shop make one drop me a pm...

I had noticed the bar that Nickey offered was camaro specific as well. Barry, if you find one of the roll bars it will work in your Nova but Lakewood had mounting kits for all the different cars. Most of the kits that seem to be floating around are for Camaro and none of the Nova mounting kits have surfaced yet. I have been looking for one for several years now. Finding the roll bar isn't that hard, but until a mounting kit for the Novas shows up for someone to make a copy from you may have to make your own mounts. I know two other people that have done so and both worked out fine.

Good deal Barry. Looks like the fellow selling it has read some of our posts and used the pic from an old ad.

Here is what he wrote:

This is a original vintage bolt in Lakewood #50000 3 point roll bar that was used in drag cars in the 60’s and early 70’s even in Super Stock, Pro Stock, etc. This was pretty much a universal bar that required car specific mounting kits, see picture. This one I was told came out of a 67-69 Camaro, but it has not been verified.

All thought these have been discontinued for many years from Lakewood they are in high demand for vintage period correct nostalgia drag cars. Nickey Chevrolet was remaking and selling these for Camaros for around $600 a few years back

Mounting kit could be fabricated to individual’s car. The roll bar and rear support are factory color, it appears the mounting feet have been repainted.

Shipping will be UPS oversize due to the shipping size 48”x48”x 5” weighting in around 55 pounds.

Email with any questions. Item is for sale locally, if it sells item will be cancelled.

I would say it isn't for a Camaro a the feet are flat. You may just be lucky enough to have found a bar wiht Nova feet. Please take pics and share how it fits in your car.
