Bob wing ate is incorrect. It came originally with a 350 but probably did have the 427 installed but solid proof has not been supplied, just him saying that the motor was changed.

Brent, I think it's pretty darn cool. I've always liked the 67's and personally think they are undervalued. First year of the first gen, and the impact they had was enormous.

Did Bob Wingate call Ed Cole at gm and say hey Ed, I'm ordering this camaro ss with a 350 and tell the guys at the factory to put a 4p on the cowl tag but when it comes down the line don't put the 350 in it. Just put the really powerful 396 in it cause I want to save some money. I'm gonna sell that 396 to a boat guy. Charlies IPC and and Jenkins l78 had 4p on the cowl but that was March this is May.
Maybe the L229d on the cowl tag is the special order the 350 but get 396 option.

All I know is he special ordered the car with a 396 . With a 4p code may not make sense to u but that's what he did . As for the docs no different then a motion car Joel says yes it did or no it did not or may be lol bob is still sharp and still looking for organizing invoice and a pic of the car he did take a pic of most every car he sold
