Thatís great, both those four-door muscle cars were amazing to look at. It would be cool to have a four-door and station wagon high horsepower display one year

The shift indicator quadrants are P R N D Gr . Gr was for grade retard only to be used for engine braking on decline ( going downhill ) while under 40 mph . My dad told me most of these were torn up by people using Gr for forward acceleration back in the day . All burnouts should only be completed in D range or transmission damage will occur .

Does anyone have a knowledgeable guess as to how many cars were in the show? Just curious.

I always have a surprise favorite, this year it was the black 70 Cougar Eliminator with the New Jersey tags. Also, glad to see the FAST drag cars.

Bob Ashton stated there were about 560 cars at the show.
