The new Hemmings Muscle Machines has a lengthy article on an 11 second Buick station wagon. No slap against the Buick guys, but it used a 150 hp shot of nitrous to get there.

As I stand on my soapbox once again, I refer those family truckster lovers to the man that recently released a great book on how to build a Pontiac V8.

And after this, he returned his car to a cast iron factory intake and a Q-jet, and still ran mid 11's. If he could only drop 500 lbs off that 4050 lb weight....

Howdy Mike! Been a while!!

While I got ya on the line, do you have a link to the exhaust test those Poncho boys did, which I believe used Jim's wagon? I've lost it somewhere in my computer swap...

Howdy Rob! Yes, I sort of lurk in the shadows sometimes. This is what happens when you don't have a Supercar, and you're visiting a Supercar website. I troll around in the "Other Muscle" section.

Here's some info on the tests. If you get a chance, look through Mr. Hand's book at a Border's or Barnes & Noble, and there's a whole chapter on exhaust system/muffler tests.

I believe I saw this pontiac wagon in Bennington Vermont last week being trailered in a Kmart parking lot with another vehicle being towed. Am I correct.

I doubt this was the same car. Jim resides is Lee's Summit Missouri, and frequents the tracks around that area (Texas and Kansas too). Other than the time he trailered it to show several hundred miles away, I do not believe he ever trailers the car.

Always loved Wagons, hence my Baby, 1970 Townsman Wagon,
LS-5 454, In Red. All documented by Buildsheet. I also used to have a 72 GTO Wagon, 455 HO, it was restored in the early 80's and is now living the highlife on Maui Hawaii. It's Buildsheet showed it shipped originally to PMD in Michigan. No Dealer name.
