Default Yenko Deuce Centercaps

Since the other thread mixed up the centercap topic with the lugnut topic, I thought I'd start a cap specific topic.

As stated previously, the Deuces came with Motorwheel Magnum 500 centercaps that were purchased in sets of 4 from Motorwheel. Yenko bought them by the case of 30 sets to a box. Yenko simply put a mylar 'Y' sticker over the Magnum 500 plastic insert. However, Yenko was consistently inconsistent, and so we have cars that didn't receive the 'Y's, and we are not sure that all cars actually received the Magnum wheels.

Other areas of inconsistency abound. We know that some sport mirror optioned cars only received one on the driver's side, and nothing on the passenger side. It is also possible that the DEUCE decal on the front of the hoods may have been left off of some cars, and the LT1 in the rear corners of the hood are placed in both directions. Emblems are different, spare rims, a/t shifters, etc... the list goes on! We'll save those topic for another thread.

Check out the pic of Hasset's HO Deuce with it's original paint and wheels.

As far as we know, those rims were not touched up. Due to the photograph, scanning the photo, and the variations of your monitor, I wouldn't bet the farm on the shades of gray/black though. We have varying opinions on the color of the wheel inserts, but that's another topic. Stick to the thread this time Rick!!

Here's another original owner pic, 12k mile car. You have to look close at the front wheel, but you can clearly see where it's missing the 'Y'. Those Deuce-philes will be pulling out their issues of MCR from 15 years ago to compare pics

yep!

That pic is better in person, you will have a hard time seeing the centercap. I always thought I'd get back to see that car, but never did. At that time, I didn't realize the significance of the centercap.

The shading on the car is actually condensation, it was dripping off the car from everywhere, and running down the garage floor! An amazing car, one of the best out there. I used this car as my reference while restoring my car, (so all you guys who knock me for poor gap alignment should see this car in person, then you can kiss my A$$).

Forgive me as this isn't centercap related, but that looks like a white painted, '69 style, pin on Yenko crest on the front fender? Is that definitely original?
