Default Callaway corvette

I will always be a 60's camaro fan, especially 350 and up and definitely Yenko for sure, but I also have other cars as well like shelby, but what comes to mind right now is a car I owned and sold to a friend who continually hounded me about the car till I sold it to him. He just happened to be a Dallas Cowboy quarterback and a great friend who did things for me that I could hardly repay and selling the car to him was the best thing for me and definitely for the car. It's a Callaway corvette, only 100 of them were made and you could not buy them, no bill of sale, a bill of leading only from corvette. They were given to executives and builders of the car only. I happened to get one of his four from Callaway himself. Is anyone familiar with this car, mine was British racing green with saddle interior and top.

Callaways were option B2k and were available through dealerships, the cars were shipped to Callaway for the conversions which included many modifications. The option cost was 20k in 1987 and by 1990 was at 25k.
The 89's newer cars had 6 speeds vs the 4+3 Doug Nash of the earlier cars.
The pricing got down to 25,000k or so about 10 years ago, Since that time I haven't kept up with them, however I would have expected them to start heading back up.
1987 - 184 units
1988 - 124 units
1989 - 69 units

When I was in high school, my Dad had a 87 Callaway roadster. He let me take it to the Long Beach Swapmeet from my hometown of Camarillo. I hit 180ish right before the 101 freeway turns into the 405 at about 4AM. I am lucky I am still alive. Awesome cars, especially for the era.

I always liked the way the B2K cars looked with Diemags and the NACA ducts.

Given the ridiculously dangerous things my friends and I did it's a wonder that any men make it to adulthood.
