Default 69 Camaro COPO, What is the best way to sell?

So a buddy has a 69 Camaro COPO, that is ready for another caretaker. Restored, Silver, NOM427/TH400, original BE rear, black Deluxe interior, no power steering.

What is the best way to value it and how to sell it?

The threads are here:

You should click on the starburst at the top of this page and order the info that will tell you where it was sold new.

Great story. Did your buddy ever find out the selling dealership? Owner history? Racing history?
Did he end up installing a MN or MO block? CE?

It seems the experts were 95% sure it was a COPO. Did your buddy obtain 100% confirmation if such a thing exists?

That car is nicely equipped and is a real COPO but it had what I would call a Mid-level street restoration, certainly not a high-end resto. so he should curb his enthusiasm as to what he thinks he is going to get for it. He removed the part of the cowl with the VIN stamp which was a mistake. Its a cool story for sure though.

Just read all the threads. I somehow missed this story from years ago. It's great to hear about these kind of stories.

Great driver COPO for sure. Z28's seem to be bringing COPO money right now.

I would say that as a start, especially with the one hidden VIN cut and the second hard to see, would be to get an industry accepted expert to go over the car and authenticate it. Many will also place a current "market value" on the car. That will help to set his expectations on value as well as make a potential buyer more comfortable paying asking price.

Thanks, He is going to order the Chevy docs, with his VIN range, the data should be available. Unconfirmed NICB info, selling dealer is Baldwin Motors.

I see I messed up my Links (both go to the same thread, sorry), but at least the 2nd thread is linked in the last post

Tracker, I was not part of the resto, so I could not advise him on the importance of keeping both hidden vins

But I have these pics saved.

Baldwin would help with sale as a unique type item. Kudos to you for helping him, looks like you invested a lot of info into this car.

I would be interested in the COPO if it's priced realistically. Tell your friend to give me a call when he figures out a price. Thanks Andy. 507-208-0191

Chevy docs came back as Baldwin Motors, NY. Rob was going to contact Jerry for his schedule, i am not sure if that happened yet.

Did they refer to it as Baldwin Motors on the NCRS doc?
