Is This An Accurate Production Number?
1 of 58 COPO Camaros produced with Rally Sport option in 1969 https://www.mecum.com/lots/SC0518-32...opo-camaro-rs/ |

I say NO. ON ZL1 they know. But those type numbers were not tracked on others models. The RS option alone was. most likely just auction hype ?

They usually start a bogus claim like that to make others talk about it on websites.
...it worked. |

It might be one of a bunch with crappie front springs.

You are correct on the fender emblems. There are other items incorrect on this car also.

I have not seen a RS COPO with the Rally Sport emblems on the front fender. A friend of mine has an original 06A build RS COPO 9561 with the Camaro emblems on the fenders. I know better than to say never, but that info is new to me.

The Camaro emblems on RS COPOs extended to early July '69 at least.
The Mecum COPO [N624797] probably should have Camaro fender emblems. At this time, no one knows how many RS 9561 COPOs were built. |
