More about the Chevelle

The Graduate . 69 Motion / COPO Chevelle . 427/450 hp ,4 speed m-22 ,4.11 . Disqualified due to SS trim package ?

It came with chrome valve covers and aircleaner marked 427/450 hp . ,M-22, 4.10 posi .12 bolt . Power disc but manual steering . Heater / defroster / radio , delete , rear side windows stationary , no regulators , cheap rubber mats / factory built in tack and gauges ,HD cooling . Electrical ,110 amp , HD suspension , front rear sway bars .

No spare or jack but had styled steel wheels . I added the Vette trim rings after I bought it for my daily driver after it sat for months in back of speed shop and added power steering and heater ,Munz tape deck , 8 track am / fm . Took the 90/10 shocks off front installed window regulators to pass inspection .

NHRA rules were based on American production vehicles . There was no 300 deluxe car produced with SS trim exterior . The rule was changed after we proved it was COPO built in Canada that way in Oshawa so .by the end of that season it was legal by NHRA.

It was all black again in late 69 as I needed it changed again before Mark bought it and cops all knew the car in Halifax

I don't know if the Brooklyn Heavy (white with red blocks) Camaro is the same car as the Motion demo and Brooklyn Heavy Wild Pumpkin

I say this because Brooklyn Heavy had a 2nd gen Camaro race car before the (white with red blocks) Camaro (I think)

also the (white with red blocks) Camaro picture looks like mid 1970s era set up 69 Camaro.

The 69 Camaro body became a popular build in the mid 1970s for some drag classes

an example is the Motion red white blue Camaro from mid 1970s

Brooklyn Heavy had a lot of cars in the 1970's and maybe he saved or bought back his 69 Camaro but maybe he bought another 69 race car
Rumor has it that Heavy raced the Camaro from 69-71 but here is a clip from 72-73.

RS COPO 69 Camaro in Nova Scotia, Canada...that came of Motion Perf & was delivered by Joel himself & a 69 COPO Chevelle...both cars where delivered to Bob McDonald's Chevrolet Dealership & raced by Gil Trembley from Moncton NB

Are these motion shop cars or sold new from Baldwin Chevrolet?

The Chevelle has to be a Shop Car.

Probably just Bob McDonald cars brought down for a little motion treatment. I can’t imagine a Chevrolet dealer buying his cars from another dealer out of his country

The Garnet Red one that was supposed to be shipped to Europe make me believe is a Baldwin Motion Camaro.
Dont Think that Bob McDonalds shipped Cars over to Europé but Motion did.

That one has been discussed here before. I believe the general consensus was that it was a catalog built car, which may or may not be an original BB car. I shared that Facebook post onto the Motion group and Gary "the local brush" chimed in and said the stripe is incorrect for that model year. It was probably put together in the 70's using a Motion mail order catalog and then painted using a 2nd gen Camaro paint scheme. I spoke to the current owner who lives in Tennessee. He said he bought it out of Connecticut in 2013 and has no documentation on it at all. I told him to run the NCRS shipping data report and depending on what that says, contact Joel Rosen for authentication. I am sure that when this car surfaced on ebay in 2011, many people already contacted Joel about it.
