What I deleted as I recall were just two useless comments. One was a scene from used cars and the other was a comment about Stevie Wonder. Nothing constructive. Do we want this to devolve into a name calling site ?

As for the 314 mile Z/28, I guess I could believe the miles as a lot of these cars were raced and a few never saw street time. I’ve got a pretty rare X22 with 980 miles, but you’ll never (I can say NEVER here) hear me claim original paint....

Get used to it.. These "original" cars that were restored back in the 90's that will be coming out of hiding by these "experts" with a youtube channel, phone and internet access.. Read some of the comments under the video and see all the "knowledge" expressed..
This just solidifies for me, mine and a few others previous comments that this will continue and more than likely get worse. Last edited by cook_dw; 05-16-2018 at 12:40 AM. |

Nope!! As long people know they can come to this site for the truth, then we are good. Explaining what was deleted and why is a good thing, thank you. This car has an awfully steep hill to climb.....

Why does PGN constantly call people haters & delete their comments, for cordially disagreeing that the Rally Green 1969 L-78 Nova is anything more than that?
Like people who believe the earth is flat, who call people who think it's round, haters. Last edited by Mr70; 05-16-2018 at 04:19 PM. |

I'm far from an expert on "supercars", but the interview with the original owner seems to tell us everything we need about the 1 of 38 and unconverted claim.
The car is in fact an L78, T400, SS Nova that was sold at Yenko. However it has no COPO or other special features or options that make it one of anything. Even if it was scheduled to be converted, it wasn't! That settles that. It's a cool car with a neat story that was sold at Yenko, but not a member of the rarified air that COPO and Yenko converted cars are associated with. IMO - Blair

I have no idea what he paid for the car, nor is it any of my business. My guess is he's attempting to hype the car up to justify his incorrect assessment and purchase point price. He incorrectly determined that this was one of the non-converted cars, because he thought that Don Yenko only sold 37 L78 equipped Novas in 1969. Hence he thought, "this is an L78 so it has to be one of the non-converted cars".
I've been told that Vince has noted this is not on the master 69 Yenko VIN list. That, and the cars an automatic, which none of the sYc Novas ever were. At this point to save credibility, Patrick needs retract what he's said so far about the car. This along with some of his Chevelle and Camaro claims are all now highly suspect. |

I think it speaks volumes that the owner/claim maker who is a member of this site has remained silent (still don't know his user name). There are plenty of members on this site with a wealth of information that they've researched /collected for 30 plus years willing to share to correct the misinformation in the videos only to have it deleted. To publish inaccurate information, and not correct the record when called out on it is inexcusable.
