I have an OER carpet set in my 1970 bench seat Nova and while the rear fit is good, the front fit over the tunnel is horrible. Basically, the way it's molded, the tunnel portion is too large. The only fix is to cut a dart in the center of the carpet (on the tunnel) and glue it back down. The last Nova I did, I used OER carpet and it fit nicely. I expect there is a new (cheaper?) supplier.
So the question is, does the ACC carpet fit better? And if so which one? ACC has two different loop style carpets -- one with a MASS backing and one without. I'd rather not have the backing, but I suspect it will be loose without it? Please let me know what your experiences have been? Thanks in advance. Wayne |
