Exactly, most now have 454 on the fenders...what a joke. It MAY have a 454 now, but it damn sure isn't the engine most of those cars had from the factory.
And SS Chevrolet's in general.

----LOL! Back in the 70's it was almost more prevalent around northern Ohio to change 454 emblems to 396 so you could get a race.....Bill S

When I bought my '70 LS5 car in '73, you could count the 454 cars on 1 hand roaming the streets around the Twin Cities. There were about the same number that had been driven home from the dealer and race prepped, running only on the tracks. Quite rare to see a 454 '70 Chevelle around here.
