Default CANADIANCOPO CAMARO

I HAVE A 69 COPO 9561AA CANADIAN CAMARO,AND THE GM CANADA DOCUMENTATION INDICATES AN OPTION OF ZV7 FREEDOM BATTERY DELETE. THIS COPO WAS SHIPPED MAY 19 1969. ANY HELP W/ THIS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. IT REALLY HAS ME STUMPED, IT [email protected]

If I remember correctly...Delco Freedom battery was one of the first to be "maintenance free"...in other words you didn't have the caps to top off the electrolyte.

Was'nt the middle of May to the first of June considered the time frame that the Camaro started getting the sidepost batteries instead of the top post????? I remember seeing Frank Naples car with a side post and questioning it, and was told since it was a June car, it could come with a side post. Dave,... you got a private message!

ZV7 is not for the Freedom battery delete. It is an internal code relating to use of a particular transmission. Here is the breakdown:
ZV6 = M20
ZV7 = M21
ZV9 = M40
ZW1 = M22

Thanks Ed
View like this...
ZV6 = M20
ZV7 = M21
ZV9 = M40
ZW1 = M22
It's very logic
But for what GM Canada show the two code on the same paper.

RPO M22= 4-speed H.D. transmission close ratio and
IC ZW1 = 4-speed H.D. transmission close ratio

RPO PL5= F70-14-4 PR tire -HWY-OE-B/wall white lettering.
IC ZP1 = C.O.P.O Tires
RPO for Regular production option and
IC for Internal Code
This IC code it's only for canadian COPO or All USA and CDN COPO.
This one is the best from GM
RPO ZP3 Regular Production Option Special Order Paint and
two dash - - on the tag for Paint Deleted.(USA and CDN)

[/ QUOTE ]

- - does not mean paint delete, it just means a non-standard color for the model year that they had no code for.

Ok it's cool like this
<font color="blue">RPO ZP3 Regular Production Option Special Order Paint and
two dash - - on the tag for non-standard color for the model year .(USA and CDN)
</font>
On a Baltimore or Norwood B/Sheet a code - in a box equal to
no / nothing / N/A / non or another term. ???

Trim tag paint code - - means "special paint instructions". Could be a non standard paint color, or could be a stripe delete on a Z28. Anything out of the norm would get the - - code.
