They come off your '66 ? They look just like the originals on my Atlanta built '66.

DR Classics sells a striker with the rotating sleeve and I "think" the head is torx.

Kinda hard to see well at that angle. I think the set I bought are torx, but the car is in storage, so I can't look at them right now.

Torx on a '66 Mitch??

These came off a '67 Malibu that was, ahem, "restored", 25 years ago using what ever fasteners were close at hand (hardware store ) etc.
Everything else in my garage (66-67) is hex.

Now you're going to make me go out in the unheated, back shed, get the ladder out and climb up to open the door... I need to measure for a new driveshaft too. That will be fun with the '38 under it.

Default Camaro Door Striker

The transition from Allen to Torx striker began late production 1969. I know they were in Sept of 69 built cars but also could be found in Aug cars.

I moved a lot of crap to get at the driveshaft and then set the ladder up to look at the striker. It seems the second, self proclaimed, bodyman didn't have the correct tool for them and they are so chewed up in the center that they look like they may have been hex, but are now a combination of hex, torx and whatever he had in his hand that he could beat in to turn it. These were brand new for him too, as the original set got the same treatment by the first, self proclaimed, bodyman..... I must have known about this a couple years ago, when I set the vent frame and door glass, but don't recall. I'll be ordering another set from DR for spring.
