Secial option content that could be added to any hardtop v8 camaro in 67-74. The content varied by year. In mid 1977 the old option was sold as an RPO.
Spelling: Z/28 1967-1969, Z-28 1970-1974, "SHP" (special hi-performance) equipment. Z28 was used by Chevrolet when the designation returned to the model line up and became an RPO (Regular Production Option)and thus achieved seperate model status within the Camaro line in 1977 at mid year. The "Z" thas the next sequential option letter code used by Chevrolet. Example Z-22 Rally Sport, Z-21 Special interior group, ect.. ![]() |

There were also others such as ZP8, ZV6, ZN1, ZK8, and ZQ7. Some seem to be related to specific transmissions. ZK8 is the tire pressure sticker, and ZQ7 is the Canadian warranty book.

Wow... thatks for your support!
Sounds like really complex... Is the "Z" a synonymous or what does it mean word-to-word? And how must i write my Beretta? Z26, Z-26 or Z/26? ![]() |
