Default Epic Morning

Good morning all.Amazing weather around Chicago lastnight w/60mph winds here that shattered a window, and continuing on into this AM.Truck started right up,once I swept the 16" of snow off it.5-10' snow drifts all over the place.Heading out to work shortly, with camera in hand.
Hope all are safe out there.Post pics if ya got em..

After a hard morning playing in the snow it's time for Winston to take a nap.

It's good to have a neighbor like mine. I told him I'd cheer for the Packers for the help, and he says "For 1 play, right?"

Yuck...that Sux, I am not going to complain about the weather here at all, just a bit of "Frozen Sammy Scardino Sunshine" and a few inches of snow today.

Southwestern Suburbs, we were hammered too.

Best of all, woke up this morning to an ice cold house, thermostat showed 59 degrees. Two high efficiency furnaces, both would just turn on for a minute, cycle the fan, and turn off.

Turns out the vent pipes, which are 2 feet above ground ( sticking out of the side of the house), were covered in snow. So at 7:00, I went through 2 feet of snow, then with a shovel had to dig and dig through a 4 foot drift to find the vent pipes.

These are the pipes, and the drift...

This is the first attempt with the snowblower. Notice the area beyond the end of the driveway, that's the street, not plowed yet.

The backyard/ That's a 4-foot wood fence.
