Default BUYER BEWARE EBAY MOTOR

DO NOT buy this motor off of eBay...if you do please contact me. Just saw it...long story short I bought this motor off this same guy 2 years ago (different username) described as no damage, repairs or issues...bought it took it to a machine shop to be checked found it it was sleeved, the engine block is cracked and the crankshaft is cracked...two years later and dragging him through the court system I got some of my money back as part of an out of court settlement and sent the motor back approximately a month ago, now I see he has it listed on eBay again with no mention of the cracked block or crankshaft knowing full well it has these issues...there are even more issues with this motor as well (cylinder head). Based on the seller and the pics, casting numbers and date codes I am 100% sure this is the same motor.

Ebay Motor...junk

Bummer, I have a snipe on it and can't cancel it since the auction has less than 3 minutes to go. Please PM any info you have to me if you have a chance.

Thanks,

Jason

I'm glad I reduced my snipe bid earlier due to unknown shipping cost and unknowns about the parts. I think since I was a bidder I can see who the high bidder was and send them a link to this post.

Good luck Jason.

EDIT: Whoops, just saw that you didn't win it. Close call.

OK, I was able to contact the high bidder with the following message:

I saw that you were the high bidder on the engine that just ended on Ebay. I was the second high bidder. Right before the bidding ended I saw this post on Yenko.net:

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/ubbt...mp;#Post450128

You may want to take a look at this post before going through with the engine deal. I'm actually glad I did not win, I use a program that bids for me at the last minute and when I found the post it was already too late to cnacel my bid.

Best of Luck,

Jason

Hopefully this all works out OK for the buyer.

I think the high bidder is the seller himself anyway. The high bidder's user ID is 0608racer. Looking at his feedback, he sells the same types of parts with very similar titles. I could be wrong, but that looks to be the case.

I agree. The lower case nr is a dead giveaway.
